Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a man who leaped a barricade and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral clip depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile features videos of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Voice Worry Over the Star's Safety

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more comment on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of supporters had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-part adaptation of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the unlikely bond between two very different characters.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 Academy Award nods, winning two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
