This location has been labeled an "ecological disaster".
A reporter inspected the scene and reported the pile appeared to be "six meters tall at least".

Waste criminals have dumped a mountain of garbage in a field in Oxfordshire.

The "environmental crisis unfolding in public view" is approximately 150m (490ft) extending and 6m (20ft) high.

The massive pile has appeared in a open area alongside the River Cherwell near Kidlington.

Parliament representative brought up the problem in parliament, saying it was "risking an environmental disaster".

Protection organization stated the illegal waste site was established approximately a few weeks back by an illegal operation.

"This constitutes an ecological disaster unfolding in public view.

"Every day that passes raises the risk of poisonous drainage getting into the aquatic network, poisoning wildlife and threatening the health of the entire watershed.

"Environmental authorities must act promptly, not in the distant future, which is their standard response period."

A restriction order had been implemented by the Environment Agency.

It is challenging to identify any particular pieces of garbage as it seems to have been broken up with soil combined.

Part of the garbage from the peak of the heap has fallen and is now only five metres from the river.

The River Cherwell is a branch of the River Thames, which means it runs through Oxford before joining the Thames.

The official requested the administration for support to eliminate the illegal site before it resulted in a fire or was washed away into the aquatic system.

Informing parliament members on this week, he stated: "Illegal operators have discarded a huge quantity of illegal synthetic materials... weighing substantial weight, in my constituency on a water-adjacent land alongside the River Cherwell.

"River levels are growing and heatmaps demonstrate that the waste is also warming, elevating the risk of blaze.

"Environmental authorities reported it has limited resources for compliance, that the estimated cost of removal is higher than the complete yearly budget of the local district council."

Cabinet member said the administration had taken over a failing recycling sector that had resulted in an "widespread problem of unauthorized dumping".

She informed representatives the authority had served a restriction order to stop more entry to the location.

In a statement, the organization stated it was investigating the matter and asked for evidence.

It stated: "We acknowledge the community's frustration about incidents like this, which is why we respond against those culpable for illegal dumping."

A newly released investigation found efforts to tackle serious environmental offenses have been "critically neglected" despite the situation growing more extensive and more advanced.

A parliamentary committee proposed an separate "comprehensive" inquiry into how "widespread" illegal dumping is tackled.
